Carter Fujibayashi and his wife Tammy are working to start a charitable foundation to buy, refurbish and operate an artists community/studio building in honor of their son Justin that was killed by a drunk driver at the beginning of a very promising career as an artist.
Carter has been a good supporter of the SHO community, and I think we all consider him and his wife as good people, and a good friend.
They are having trouble getting funds together, but the main problem is to get the paperwork through for charitable status before they can even begin to work to get grants and donations for the main project.
The amount needed right now is just $500, and my wife Jan has determined that that is exactly what it takes to get the paperwork through.
A PayPal account has been set up for this initial drive, and Jan and I will be making a donation immediately.
I will post a mailing address later once I get it, but for now, if you can do PayPal, that would be great.
We are getting the word out through all the lists/forums. Whatever you can give would be appreciated.
The PayPal account is: cre8iveartsnetwork at gmail dot com
I encourage you to put this out to the community so Carter and his wife can get going on this worthy project.
