Stolen
SHO Reports
If you see one of these cars, do NOT take matters into your own
hands, call any local, county or state police station and report the car.

MY Wife's 94 FORD SHO 130,000+ miles was stolen from our drive way in BROCKTON MA.
sunroof and off-road lighting. RED, 3.2L engine. ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated.License
plate # Massachusettes 5206 SG.
UPDATE: they found their car two days later stripped to
the chassis! IF anyone knows anything about it, please contact
police. Anyone that would steal and strip a SHO needs to be boiled
in oil, dirty cancer causing used motor oil! ;) --Ed.
Good News! Mark got his car
back. Found after being abandoned with mostly minor wear/tear, long
term damage to driveline unknown. Mark sends his thanks to those
that responded to his request for help.
(My SHO was stolen 22 Dec. 2002 from parking lot of the Workout Club in Londonderry, NH.

NOTE: the SHO below was recovered as a stripped body
only. Keep on the lookout for body parts with the VIN below on
them. They might show up on E-bay. Probably this was stolen to
order for a body shop, and the parts are already installed, but it doesn't
hurt to be vigilant.

On Monday, June 12, 2001 my SHO was stolen from a Metra commuter train parking
lot in Arlington Heights, Illinois between 7 AM and 6:30 PM. This is a
suburb about 25 miles Northwest of Chicago. I'd like to spread the word in
case anyone ever comes across it and also to raise the awareness that the
SHO is a car thieves obviously have an interest in. They broke out the
right rear quarter window, as there was glass around the parking spot. The
'Made in Atlanta' sticker was laying on the ground with glass attached to
it.
The car is a '95 with the 3.2L engine. It's red with the tan interior and
does have the full leather, a sunroof, and the Ford factory radio/CD
player. The car had about 139,000 miles on it and was stolen in the middle
of the day from the parking lot, surrounded by hundreds of other cars.
The VIN number is 1FALP54P9SA285040 and the Illinois plate number is BAE
860.
The car is stock, with no cosmetic changes except for a Northern Illinois
University sticker in the back window. It does have the former SHO
Registry sticker on it under the hood along with K&N stickers on the air
cleaner box. The only real alternations were with the sound system.
Visibly, it has Boston Acoustic tweeters in the front corners of the doors
and a Kenwood CD changer along with two Kenwood amplifiers in the trunk.
A stolen vehicle report was filed with the Arlington Heights police
department. If anyone sees this car turn up, please let me know or notify
your local police department. My work number is (312) 224-7186 and my
e-mail address is dwduffey@earthlink.net
Please pass this along to other SHO enthusiasts. Thanks, and secure your
SHO!!!

This isn't a stolen SHO, but it is a fellow enthusiast
with a SHO owner for a friend: Let's see if we can help him:

STOLEN--H Prod Sprite
The night of 2/25/02 my trailer and race car were stolen from
my residence in Rochester, MI. The trailer is a 24' US Cargo enclosed, white with no graphics or other distinguishing features.
Wheels are white directionals and the front of the trailer may be very muddy if
the thief has not washed it yet.
The car is a 65 Austin-Healey Sprite, white with green and dark green stripes running along the
bottom (like the old Group 44 cars). It was Peter Morton's old car, for those of you
who remember what his old car looked like. The police and I both think that
the thief was only after the trailer and may have thought it contained landscaping
equipment, so he may try to dispose of the car, possibly on ebay. The identity #
stamped on the roll cage is 075-9903. If anybody has any
information, please email me at scottmackela@onemain.com
Additional Information...
some pics of it on the former owners website at www.nobudgetracing.com
It now has black American Racing 4-spoke wheels on it. Still carrying FP on the sides, though
it's actually an HP car now. I suspect the people who stole my trailer had no
idea what was inside, so who knows what they'll do with the car. Identity
