Grassroots Motorsports Magazine's
Open Track Challenge
To feature SHO

UPDATE 5-14-02

The OTC Challenge came to an early end for Gary and Tal, when the clutch started slipping at the first event and a suitable replacement could not be obtained until after another event or two had passed.  Thus any chance for a good finish was not possible.

We understand Gary and Tal have returned home to plan for their next adventure.  They attribute this experience to not enough preparation time, the SHO being completed literally hours before they had to depart.

Now that the car is mostly done, we hope they try again!

Previous notice is below:

Well known SHO racer and tuner Gary Morrell and friend Tal Isbell are teaming up to run an SHO in the Open Track Challenge May 11-19, 2002.

Check out the event (click on the link above) to read about this event that is a bit similar to the famous One Lap of America.

In fact, Gary has done the One Lap at least twice, so this should be easy since the route covers only a couple of states and daily miles are a lot less.  OTC competitors will get a LOT more track time with Formula One style practice and qualifying at each track.  The two fastest runs for the day are your official times.

Good luck Gary and Tal!
