SHO Classified Listings

Classifieds are for SHO enthusiasts and those parting out SHO cars, NOT for commercial businesses selling new items. To promote new items, contact us for advertising rates. All classified ads placed on the SHOClub.com site will be for a term of 5 months and then automatically be deleted. You must re-submit them if you still want the ad to run. We can`t guarantee your ad will run in the magazine, however we WILL run picture ads in the magazine; otherwise, we choose only the 10 most recent ads for the magazine when we send it to the printer. If you advertise items for sale, we expect you to deal with your customers in an honest business manner. Send items that are paid for. As a customer, be sure to deal fairly with sellers. Use common sense and everyone will benefit from the SHO community.

COST AND PICTURES: SHO Club Classifieds (without pictures) are free to all SHO owners/enthusiasts. Pictures ads are $10 for any quantity. If requested, we can put in more than one picture on the ad on the internet, however due to space we can only print one picture in the actual magazine. Send your picture for your ad to:

PLACING AN AD
1. I WANT TO MANAGE MY OWN ADS - REGISTER ONLINE

• Click here to go to the new Classifieds management area. If you have not yet created a login to our new automated system, click on the Register Here link. Then come back to create your own classifieds listing and then update and manage then on your own with no delays
• After creating a new account, clicking on the link at the top that has a Dollar sign on it will also take you to your own Classifieds section.

2. I DON`T WANT TO REGISTER, PLEASE DO IT FOR ME.

• Please note that we have modified our new classifieds area to help protect our SHO enthusiasts email addresses. If you wish to place an add without creating an account on our site, you can do one of the following two options, but your email address will be displayed in the text of the ad. One suggestion is to not provide an email address but instead only do phone calls, the other is to PLEASE be cautious when reading and replying to emails about your ad.

3. I WANT TO RESPOND TO AN AD ON THE SITE.

• We have developed our new classifieds section to try and help protect the users of the site from spam and scammers. There are two different styles in the ads:
  • Registered users who manage their own add will have their username at the end of their ad. Click on the username and then click on the Register Here link to create your own SHO Club account.
    OR
  • if the user has opted to fill out our older classifieds form then their email address will be listed in the ad which you will need to copy and then remove the spaces.

SCAM WARNING:
There are people stating to be from another country or maybe even from the USA that try to send a payment for more than the selling price, if you will forward the extra to the \"shipper\" for shipping of the car. THIS IS A SCAM. NEVER give money back for cashing a check unless you are 100% certain who you are dealing with. Never give up the keys or ship the item till you know the check is good. Even a Cashiers check can be bad or cancelled and in this case the \"bank certified\" check IS bogus. There are reports of people taking the check to their bank, having it verified BY THE BANK, then they send extra to the \"buyer\", usually by Western Union, and up to FOUR WEEKS LATER find out the check is bad and they are on the line to the bank to pay it all back. In some cases the car AND cash are gone! As always, buyer AND seller beware! This has happened to a couple of SHO sellers and we hope the average SHO buyer/seller is smarter than the average person to not get scammed.

SCAM UPDATE!! Oct-2007 - A scammer going by the names of Jimmy Bellamy or Shawn Paschall has been contacting sellers on the site. PLEASE DO NOT SELL OR GET TAKEN BY THIS PERSON! It follows the typical format above where it has broken or bad english and wants to send additional money that you then hand to a driver. Click HERE for an example copy of one of the scam emails!
