SCAM WARNING!
It has been reported that people are pretending to be from another country (West Africa in one case) or maybe even from the USA, and they will send a cashiers check for more than the amount of the car for sale if you will forward the extra to the "shipper" for shipping the car. Of COURSE this is a scam. NEVER give money back for cashing a check unless you are 100% certain who you are dealing with. Never give up the keys or ship the item till you know the check is good. Even a Cashiers check can be bad or cancelled and in this case the "bank certified" check IS bogus. We hope the average SHO buyer/seller are smarter than the average person and that you will not get scammed.
UPDATE: another person reports a variation on the above scam for PARTS! Same deal, sending way too much money, cash their check, send the extra to someone else. This one was supposedly from Italy. Again, don't fall for these scammers!
